Ornate cornice work by students

Hello and welcome to the first post on the Wall  and Ceiling Lining Blog.

I am Rob Beckett and for the past 6 years I have been involved in Training apprentices, VET and – students in the tafeSA RTO at Gilles Plains in Adelaide and after meeting to validate training packages and with the AWCIA of SA (Australian Wall & Ceiling Industry Association of South Australia) it has become apparent that we need an outlet to broadcast training and RPL information to the public.

In coming posts I would like to outline what’s happening in training at tafeSA, the CPSISC cooperative validation group and AWCIA of SA, if you are in the Industry and have something to add feel free to post and discuss anytime. The CBA Project will also be posted here as it evolves and trails and presentation are given.  It is the best year for expanding influence in the industries of Wall & Ceiling Lining and Training and Assessment and it has only just started…

About wallandceiling

I currently design, create and administer over 180 Moodle online courses as part of a project in tafeSA with the BJIT Business Services Team. This project has highlighted a need for training in Moodle and how to implement and maintain courses online. I have been a lecturer in Wall & Ceiling Lining (Drywall for Americans) in Adelaide South Australia involved in the CPSISC validation of the CPC08 National Training packages and the CBA Program to build capacity in assessment through the use of Action Learning and Assessment for Learning principles.
