Session with my Peers Wash up

Trouble brewing
Trouble brewing

Well, the peer session went a head, but not at all as planned.

The team met in a room with no access to a projector, no drama, no laptop, OK last minute room change, Uhha, no manager and I had to wing it with notes, done that before too.

Not really planned for reaction received.  One staff member, who, though I have work with him for 6 years, has never had a reason to have a go at me.   Not till today!

At least it gave me plenty of material for my CB-A project report today Friday the 13th (should have been ready for something there) was quite a surprise, stunned even.  Must have skipped over the reaction part of the previous sessions, it came through to me that any thing new threatened some sort of security felt and was the thin end of some vast wedge that I was clearly at the pointy end of, but was invisible to me at that moment.

It did me a favour really, I have adjusted my approach to avoid outright rejection by this type of reaction and will outline that later, as I get my head around it all.

Happy weekend…aaaaaahhhhh

  3. Since that session I have been approached by another staff member regarding the talk and he is still thinking about the whole approach. So I’m still in with a chance… I’ll keep you informed Cheers Rob
