The winter stoops
Heavy in the sky
And clouds carry
Their burdens low
A dark and silver light
Spreads its way
Across a subtle sea
To wait for me
Near waters lap
Though hours of day
Are few and short
And darkness greets
The morning cursed ring
I’m lightened up
In mood and soul
Through words
Spoke me late at night
A hand in mine
At days sweet end
In warmth
And soft nights sleep
My one
My friend
My lover’s here
