The skills council of Australia has cooperatives in most trade areas and they validate the training package and provide feedback from RTO’s, industry and stakeholders on aspects, contents and delivery resources. They are a great asset and you should have a look and input your thoughts, go to the website and check it out.
As a member of this group I was recently involved in a Validation session in Canberra at the Burke CIT site where members from RTO’s around Australia met to discuss the CPCO8 training package, its direction and to validate the contents. South Australia, Queensland, Victoria, Canberra, Albury tafe’s were represented as well as some private RTOs’.
The brainstorming sessions were designed to bring out as many issues as we could both good and bad regarding the CPCO8 package and issues in the industry in general. Membership of these Cooperatives is via the Skills Council CPSISC website and the link below is to the RTO cooperatives CPSISC Cooperatives RTOs’ in the trade areas of the CPCO8 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework can apply to join these groups and contribute to development of units of competency and have a say about the direction of the package.
